I really enjoyed this book.I am not a romance fan and I don't particularly like harem or 'reverse harem' stories. So I was a little leery when I saw it pop up in my 'Recommends'. But I have read War God's Mantle books 1 & 2 and I liked both of those, so I gave it a shot.There was lots of cool action and adventure, the romance, made sense and didn't become the major focus, although it was important. The Harem part was also done...tastefully.It started a little slow, and the nerd to badass transformation was a littel quick...but I prefer that to page after page of 'oh, I'm slowly becoming a badass'.The LitRPG elements were also well done, very smoothly incorporated and made sense within the world created.Aaron really hit the marks with this one!
I have all four of the books available. Even though I signed up to follow my favorite authors both through the Amazon and the authors' mailing list they don't inform you when new books are released in a timely manner. This is one of those I check everytime I go on Amazon.No spoilers, the writing is well paced. I sat down to read the sample immediately bought the book and before I knew it it was 2 AM and I finished.Of course harems and sex don't appeal to everyone. However I found the story refreshing. Honestly even if the sex was of the fade to black type the story can pretty much stand on it's own.
A nice start to a new series. Good action, decent dialogue, no significant negatives. My one quibble is the advancement schema, rather simplistic. Tom out
Knock knock your a dragon. OK it's a modern fantasy story. But done better than most. Do not let the "An Urban Fantasy Harem Adventure" fool you. Yeah I know the stereo type it's "fantasy Harem" so it's all about sex with no real plot. While this book has some sex scenes in it but it is at most soft core. This book the story takes first place and the sex scenes a very distant forth. I almost wonder if the author wrote them in for word count.I want to see this series as a audio book Please.....
This is a very good series and I can’t wait for the 3rd book. I highly recommend this book. The characters are hilarious and it’s impossible to put down.
Well developed characters and a story that is captivating story. Have bought book 2 and I am really look forward to reading it.
Loved this book and really want to see what happens when the next book comes out seems that this will be a great addition to any person 's library.
